President Donald Trump held back no punches in a fiery address to the United Nations’ (UN) General Assembly, calling the climate change agenda “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world” and rightfully rebuking the globalist organization for empowering illegal immigration into the U.S.
Upon arriving at the UN, the president got stuck on a broken escalator with the First Lady, and right before his speech, the teleprompters broke—a series of failures Trump used to comedically lambast the UN for their incompetency and failure, a theme he continued throughout his full remarks.
During his address, Trump immediately highlighted his recent efforts to achieve peace through diplomacy and condemned the UN for making matters worse on the global stage. “In all cases the United Nations did not try to help… I ended seven wars… I never even received a phone call from the United Nations…,” Trump shared. “The United Nations wasn’t there for us… That being the case, what is the purpose of the United Nations?”
Pivoting to the “man-made” climate agenda, Trump exploded with a grocery list of failures that so-called “renewable” and “green” energy cause, including high prices, lack of dependability, and the “politically correct” ideologies behind them. He even dissected the evolution of the terminology behind the push, sharing that the phrase “climate change” has been adopted because “global warming” and “global cooling” were inconvenient, with temperatures always alternating.
“All of these predictions made by the United Nations and many others, often for bad reasons, were wrong,” Trump said to a groaning and shocked crowd of elitists. “They were made by stupid people that have cost their country’s fortunes… If you don’t get away from this green scam, your country is going to fail.”
China was brought under the magnifying glass by the president as well. While Western countries spend billions to erase their “carbon footprint,” Trump explained, the Chinese are using more and more gas, oil, and coal as the world turns a blind eye. This must stop, he argued, and nations must return to drilling for oil and mining for coal.
Trump also renewed his reasons to pull the U.S. out of the failing UN Paris Climate Accords, a decision he made in his first term and reinstated upon his return to the White House in January of 2025.
In perhaps the most unprecedented remarks of the speech, Trump blamed the UN for budgeting millions to support an estimated 624,000 illegal immigrants traveling into the United States: “The United Nations is funding an assault on Western countries and their borders… The UN is supporting people that are illegally coming into the United States.”
All nations must support, promote, and defend national sovereignty, strong borders, and maintaining national heritage, Trump concluded. Anything else is unacceptable.
While President Trump’s blistering remarks to the United Nations are welcomed by all Americans who fight against globalism and defend national sovereignty, ultimately, the U.S. Congress must fully defund and withdraw from the UN entirely. Otherwise, the madness will continue.
