Big Tech Joins UN to Censor “Extremism” Online

Speaking at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, Big Tech bigwigs including the leaders of Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Youtube, Twitter and more announced a global “partnership” with governments and the UN to censor the Internet and purge “extreme” content.

According to the announcement, the left-wing Internet giants vowed to hire permanent staff to oversee the entity in charge of censoring the World Wide Web and social media. The scheme grew out of a “forum” they created in 2017 for the purpose of coordinating online censorship.

“We believe these next steps are best executed within an industry-led framework with deep input from both civil society and governments,” Facebook said in a statement about the initiative.

Also participating in the effort will be various governments, including the French, American, British, Canadian, and Japanese. UN and European Union “experts” will be involved as advisors, too, the companies said.

The dictators club known as the UN has been working to end free speech for decades.

Much of this began in earnest in the summer of 2016. In May, the UN Security Council, citing “terrorism” as the pretext, ordered the UN “Counter-Terrorism Committee” to create a plan to “counter” what it called “online propaganda” and “hateful ideologies.”

Not long after that, the EU brought together all the most influential Big Tech social media companies and ordered them to help censor the Internet. The companies, which has been censoring conservatives and Christians for years, were more than happy to comply.

The UN, the EU, and the Big Tech companies have all made clear that they consider opposition to Islamism, globalism, mass migration, the LGBT agenda, the Democrat Party, transgenderism, socialism, open borders, and other controversial ideas and policies to be hateful. Many European and Asian governments already arrest those who violate the speech codes.

In recent days, The Liberty Sentinel reported that the UN also conscripted the major video-game companies into promoting green propaganda in their games.

The UN also developed a plan for “lazy people” to “save the world” from their couch. Among the suggestions: snitch on online thought criminals from the comfort of your own sofa.

The reason why the Deep State and its minions at the UN and the Big Tech interests are panicking is simple–Americans and people around the world are waking up by the millions thanks to the Internet.

But if Americans are not careful, the freedoms protected in the First Amendment–and even the ability to publicly state what the Bible proclaims–will be destroyed by governments, the UN, and Big Tech. It is time to smash the Big Tech monopoly and “Get the U.S. Out of the UN” before it is too late.
