What significance could the crack in the liberty bell have in the future of the United States of America? This is the question I asked myself when I saw a picture of the liberty bell. I believe it is a harbinger of things to come as I will try to explain in this document.
America before 1775, was under the heavy hand of England, the worlds superpower at that time. The king of England imposed heavy taxation and rule on the thirteen colonies. It finally reached the breaking point and as a result of defiance the Boston tea party occurred where a ship load of tea was tossed into Boston harbor. When America gained her freedom from England’s burdensome rule and taxation, documents were drawn up and adopted codifying our freedom in the declaration of independence, the Constitution, and the bill of rights. Freedoms we enjoy until this day.
We expressed our new freedom in many ways such as our monuments, our buildings that have inscriptions depicting our rights, and our writings of a free people.
America wanted another symbol to let all, near and far, know we are a free people. That expression was to be in the form of a bell, we call the liberty bell. One that could ring loudly expressing our appreciation for the hard-won freedom which cost many thousands of lives to obtain in the revolutionary war with England.
The bell was cast and then mounted on the framework that would hold it and allow it to ring so all would know we are a free people.
On the fateful day the bell was to ring a large crowd gathered to hear the beautiful sound of E-Flat the bell was designed to deliver. At a prescribed time, the bell was tipped at an angle and let loose so the clapper would strike the sides of the bell housing. And all would hear the sound of freedom. But as the bell was released and the clapper struck the bell housing a sound went forth which no one expected. The sound of a thud rather than the sweet tones of a beautiful bell. Everyone looked on with unbelief as they saw a large crack form on the side of the bell housing.
The bell was repaired and the last time it rang was for George Washington’s birthday in 1846 when it cracked so bad that it was unable to be repaired. The bell would never again toll, never again give that beautiful sound of freedom so much anticipated by the crowd.
Yes, the liberty bell had been badly damaged beyond repair and now could only be put on display as a well-intentioned symbol of our freedom as a nation and a people, with the crack there for all to see.
I believe the crack has a deeper significance than just the failure of the bells manufacturer getting the metallurgical chemistry wrong.
I believe it is a sign or a harbinger of a future event that America will experience at some point in our history that will shake our freedoms as we now know them.
America was founded on Christian principles and those principles are the foundation of our freedoms. The early pilgrims came to America to escape religious persecution and to be free. Our forefathers and the framers of the constitution were mostly Christian as seen by many of their writings.
America has been used by God to make a home for the Jews who fled Europe and for all the oppressed people around the world from the beginning as a nation.
God used America to spread the gospel throughout the world in written form and by missionaries and evangelists. Today God is getting the gospel out through television ministries that go everywhere there is a television or a cell phone.
I was born in 1940 and in 1941 world-war two began for America (December 7, 1941) when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. America became a super-power as a result of our tremendous manufacturing capability. America could turn out tanks, ships and airplanes faster than Germany and Japan could destroy them on land, sea and the air.
After the war America turned her manufacturing capability to making the lives of the American people better by providing them with homes, appliances, and automobiles.
Americans standard of living was better than any nation on the face of the earth. If a person wanted to work and better themselves and provide for their family, they could.
America became the land of opportunity as well as the land of the free.
Jonathan Cahn, author of the book “The Harbinger” pointed out several significant events in Americas history that had ominous meanings. He pointed out how incredible it was that George Washington took the oath to be our first president on the steps of the Federal building in New York city (wall street) and then he and his cabinet walked a few blocks to a small church for a dedication service. Behind the church was a cemetery and at one corner was sycamore tree.
Now all of that does not seem to have much importance until you begin to tie it in with the event on September 11, 2001 when two airplanes were flown into the twin towers of the world trade center. This was an attempt by radical Muslims to hit America in her financial center and bring the economy crashing down. This is significant in two ways.
One, the event of George Washington taking his oath where he did, signifies the beginning of a nation with its first president. This is where America became a nation. Secondly, Three, of our leaders after 911 made a profound statement unbeknown to them that was in defiance of God. Israel did the same thing where it is recorded in Isaiah chapter nine verse ten Israel’s pride and stoutness of heart which states “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.”
You see, Israel made this statement in an attitude of pride and stoutness of heart and so did the American leaders. Our pride had been shattered by the attack of 911 and our statement was one of pride and stoutness of heart. We were not going to take this laying down, so we built the tower of freedom and outside was a hewn stone called the freedom stone. Close by in the cemetery a cedar tree was planted where the sycamore tree stood (which later died). Israel would defy God and so was America.
So, what does all this have to do with the crack in the liberty bell. Just as the harbingers pointed out in Jonathan Cahn’s book, I believe the crack is a harbinger showing our freedom as a nation is coming to an end. I know this sound preposterous, but hear me out. Could God in the early days of our new nation have sent us a warning message that our freedom would come to an end at some future event? How could this happen?
Consider how our nation has changed in just the last few years. In the 2016 presidential campaign and election where Donald Trump became our 45th president there were riots in the large cities like we have never seen in our lifetime. Young men and women dressed in black clothing breaking store windows and looting as if it were their right to perform such lawless deeds. We have seen our politicians lie to us like never before and they do it with a straight face.
The news media and social media are slanted against the conservative candidates, one wonders how they can parade as a news organization. They should rather be labeled as propaganda networks for the left. Then you have Disney buying the one strong conservative (balanced) news media namely 21st Century Fox. One wonders where that organization will go in the 2024. That would be another conservative voice shuttering and this by a huge rich company we all thought we could take our families and our children to for wholesome entertainment, but now has become slanted toward the woke crowd and leftist values. The schools, news media, and activists have taught and are teaching our children as early as kindergarten they can’t wait until later to decide if they are a male or a female. Sex change has been stuffed down our throats as well as woke speaking.
The radical left does not want to hear what you have to say they just want you to accept what they say. There is no reasonable dialog today. Talk to a leftist and he or she will begin to shout you down. And then there is the green agenda. They have made war on oil and coal as a useful source of energy to the point we now are begging Saudi Arabia to supply us with oil to meet or needs. President Biden on his first day in office signed a Presidential Order stopping the Keystone pipeline construction which was supposed to bring oil down from Canada and would provide all the oil we need. In fact, under president Trump we were already self-sufficient in oil production.
Then consider guns and the second amendment that allows the American people to own weapons. The left is trying their best to disarm the American people. Every time there is a mass shooting in a school or mall the left wants to pass laws to take our guns. Everyone knows if you take everyone’s guns, the criminal will still have guns as they will obtain them on the black market. Look at prohibition. Alcohol was outlawed for the people to have and for stores to sell it, but Al Capone had all the alcohol he wanted to sell in the black market. Guns would be just like the alcohol. The American people are being prepared for a one world government and America is heading for a loss of her freedoms as we now know them.
I believe there is a future event depicted in the Bible, in First Thessalonians chapter four verses 15 through 18, which could bring about the end of Americas freedom. It states “For we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” These verses describe what we call the rapture [or catching away] of the church where all Christians will be translated out of this world into heaven to be with the Lord. This event will affect the whole world and will set the stage for the anti-Christ to come to power.
The removal of the church (the Christians) will cause such chaos over the entire world as has never been seen in history. It will be worse than the great depression in the 1930’s. Why? Not because of a lack of jobs, but because Christians are in every segment of society providing a positive effect. When the Christians are gone airplanes will crash from pilots disappearing right out of the cockpits as will automobiles by the thousands. Companies will lose their best employees (Christians show up for work every day) in every field in industry and business. Banks will be unable to open as their Christian presidents and tellers have disappeared. The local utilities will stop working and the electrical grid will go down for lack of qualified workers. The list goes on and on of failed services. I haven’t even mentioned trains crashing and ships that can’t function as a result of Christians leaving this world.
Food and all the necessities of life will become scarce. Blackouts will be common and the economy will cease to function. We had a small taste of this in 2020 and 2021 when Covid 19 ran rampant over the whole world shutting down trade and Americas economy still hasn’t fully recovered from the shutdown. The rapture will have a more devastating effect on America than Covid 19 did. All of this will set the stage and usher in the antichrist who will have the answer to these problems, but in reality, will be an opportunity for him to usher in the one world government and the power he wants.
The anti-Christ is going to be a world ruler with a world government and all nations are going to be under his rule and it is not going to be a rule of freedom, but of oppression.
Consider in the book of Revelation chapter 13 verses 16 through 18 where it states “And he [the false prophet] caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast [the antichrist], or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast [the antichrist]: for it is the number of a man; and his [the antichrist] number is six hundred threescore and six [666].”
Those living during the reign of this man may starve to death if they refuse to accept his mark as they will be unable to purchase food. Also, he [the antichrist] will make war on the saints (people who are saved during the tribulation) and will kill them as he sees fit.
The rapture of the church [the saints] will decimate America to the point her economy and all systems that provide communication, energy, transportation, food production, manufacturing, and healthcare will fall into complete chaos. America will no longer be a super power, but will be just another vassal nation under the rule of the antichrist and his armies.
What then is our hope? Our only hope lies in the finished work of the cross and accepting Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as our Lord and Savior. If you have not accepted Jesus as Savior, I would encourage you to do so and do it without delay as we do not have the promise of another day before Jesus will come in the clouds and call his church out of this world. After that, if you fail to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, you can look forward to having the antichrist rule over you and you must accept his mark to buy and sell. If you do receive his mark your soul will be doomed to hell for eternity. If you are living during the tribulation and do not accept the mark of the antichrist you will either starve to death or be martyred.
Revelation chapter 20 verses 11 through 15 tells us there will be a judgment day for the unsaved and wicked people, called the white throne judgement. It states “And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works, 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life [the saved have their name written in this book] was cast into the lake of fire [for eternity].” (Emphasis added)
So, what does all the above have to do with the crack in the liberty bell? I mentioned the crack could represent an end to Americas freedom since the bell itself is a symbol of that freedom. The next question would naturally be when will this take place? As stated before, I believe it will occur shortly after the rapture of the church. At that time the antichrist will come into power and one world government will be established. So, where are we on the timeline of history and when will this occur?
The bible tells us no man knows the day or the hour when the Lord will return, only the Father in heaven knows the time (Mathew 24:36).
We can however, know the season of His return. Jesus in Mathew chapter 16 verses two and three is speaking to the Pharisees and Sadducees and He told them they know how to tell what the weather is going to be, but cannot discern the signs of the times. It reads: “He answered and said unto them, when it is evening, you say, it will be fair weather: for the sky is red. 3 And, in the morning, it will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowering. You hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky; but can you not discern the signs of the times?” We can tell from these verses and from Jesus Himself, we are expected to discern the signs of the times.
In fact, Jesus gave us a sign to aid us in this discernment in Mathew chapter 24 where He spelled out what would take place in the last days (during the seven years of the tribulation). In verse two Jesus is describing the future destruction of the temple in 70 A.D. by the Roman general Titus. This statement by Jesus prompted the disciples to ask in verse three “Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”
Jesus laid it out stating in verse seven there would be kingdom rising against kingdom: and there shall be famine and pestilences, and earthquakes, in different places. Then in verse eight He tells them all these events are the beginning of sorrows. He goes on to describes events all the way to the end of the tribulation.
Jesus, in Mathew 24:34 gives us a sign to help identify when the rapture may occur, not the day or hour, but the season. He said “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all [all the events listed in the tribulation] these things be fulfilled.” Now Jesus could not have meant the generation of people He was speaking to at that time, because almost two thousand years have passed since the statement was made and the events have not occurred as of the year 2022. So, what generation could He have been speaking of? God’s timetable for the nation of Israel moves only when the Jews are in their own land and under their own rule. When Jesus walked the earth, the Jews were under the heavy foot of the Roman Empire, therefore they were not under their own rule even though they were in their land. We do have an event in history where the Jews were back in their land and under their own rule and that occurred on May 14, 1948 when Israel became a nation once again.
President Harry S. Truman the then sitting president was the first world leader to recognize Israel as a nation. So, if we use that as a starting point and if a Jewish man was born on that day and lived to be 100 years old that would take us to 2048 which would be to the end of the tribulation. If we subtract 7-years from 2048 we have the year 2041 which could be the beginning of the tribulation or also the time of the rapture of the church. Now, the rapture under these calculations could occur at anytime from 2022 to 2041 based on the Jewish man living 100 years. It could be less. That means we may only have 19 years at most before the rapture, but it could happen tomorrow. Just think someone who is 70 years old most likely will be alive when Jesus returns for His church. What a wonderful thought.
The crack is a sign for America to wake up for the time is short for all Americans and people around the world to be prepared for that wondrous occasion, the rapture, or be forever lost. Don’t stick around for the crack to show up.
I thought I had finished this article, but last night (August 8, 2022) the FBI raided the home of former president Donald J. Trump and took 15 boxes of document and opened his safe. President Trump was not home as he was in New York at the Trump Towers building, therefore he was not a threat is any sense of the word. Approximately thirty FBI agents stormed his home and one wonders why such a force and on a former president. This is not Columbia or Venezuela. The3 FBI did the same thing to many of Trumps workers in his administration breaking down their doors in the early hours of the morning coming in like the Gestapo or the KBG.
Yes, our freedoms are under attack. Within the last few days congress has passed a so-called inflation reduction Act that included hiring 87,000 IRS agents. The expansion of the IRS which was weaponized during the Obama administration to go after 501-C3 charities (churches and conservative political organizations) they considered a threat to their radical agenda. These new agents will be assigned to go after the small businesses and taxpayers earning $50,000 to $400,000 in income per year. The taxpayer cannot afford to fight the IRS so they will have a fess hand going after them. Small businesses who can fight will be spending thousands of dollars in an unproductive way to clear themselves and these costs will be passed along to their customers.
The left is out of control and they are turning America into a banana republic which the radical left having control to tell you what you can eat, what you can say and maybe where you can live and work. Sound like Communism? It is! I urge every American to contact your congressman and let them know your concerns and lastly, we must cast our votes to replace the radical left.
