WATCH: 117th Congress Starts with “WOKE Prayer”

1/4/2021- If you thought a Biden election may put an end to the “wokeness” of 2020, you were wrong. Last night, the 117th Congress of the United States started with an odd “prayer” from Democrat representative Emanuel Cleaver who is also a Methodist pastor. Cleaver is a representative from Missouri’s 5th district.

WATCH:

“We ask it in the name of the monotheistic God… God known by many names and by many different faiths. Amen, and awoman,”

117th Congress opens with Democratic Rep Emanuel Cleaver

Obviously, the roots of “amen” have nothing to do with gender or sexuality, but that did not stop Rep Cleaver from trying to win “inclusivity points”. Also, it did not stop other government officials from openly criticizing him.

Republican representative Guy Reschenthaler took to Twitter to try to clarify the meaning of “amen” for his colleague.

Even Wikipedia could not change its definition of “amen” fast enough to provide political cover for this gaffe. Their definition still holds the etymology of the word:

The usage of amen, meaning “so be it” (as found in the early scriptures of the Bible), is a word of Biblical Hebrew origin.[5] The word originated in the Hebrew Scriptures, as a confirmatory response; it is found in Deuteronomy as a confirmatory response made by the people.[6]

While we still hope the assault on Christianity, liberty, and language stop in 2021, this does not seem very promising unless we all are involved. While it is amusing to watch, there are long-term consequences for not holding your elected officials accountable.

*We wish you health, freedom, and liberty in this new year. Stay vigilant, and thank you for your efforts to help us get around the TECH CENSORSHIP.
