Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Harvard-educated Kentanji Brown Jackson, says she can’t define woman. But Democratic Party icon Hugh Hefner understood the female sex, at least in terms of how to exploit and abuse them.
Demonstrating he is a Democrat after all, she will receive a “yes” confirmation vote from Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.), a so-called moderate.
One of my first books, The Playboy Foundation: A mirror of the culture?, about the Playboy Foundation of Hugh Hefner, documented how money from pornography financed the abortion rights, gay rights, and drug legalization movements. Hefner, a major contributor to the Democratic Party who died in 2017, is reported to have had 19 different wives and/or regular girlfriends and experimented in bisexuality. In total, his sexual “partners” were said to number over 1,000.
The A&E cable channel is running a series, “Secrets of Playboy,” which explores some of what I had documented back in 1992. One episode, “The Big Playboy Lie,” describes “how decades of women modeled for the magazine because they believed the Playboy promise that becoming a Playmate would lead to a lucrative career in a safe environment. Instead, many faced a hostile environment rampant with drugs, pornography, and prostitution. The circumstances led former Playboy Playmate Miki Garcia to testify against Playboy before the Reagan Administration’s 1980s Commission on Pornography.”
Indeed, Miki Garcia testified before the Attorney General’s Commission on Pornography in 1985 and said that Hefner encouraged Playmates to come to his mansion and “partake of the activities,” including orgies and bisexual escapades. As director of Playmate Promotions from 1976 to 1982, she said she was told by models “about rapes, mental and physical abuse, attempted murder, drug addiction, attempted suicide and prostitution.”
The 1980 memoir of pornography star Linda Lovelace, Ordeal, describe the Playboy founder as “a collector of eight-millimeter movies.” That is a reference to the underworld of hardcore pornography, not the “coffee-table pornography” symbolized by Playboy. Lovelace, who says Hefner sodomized her in the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles, wrote, “He supposedly has the second largest collection in the world, second only to someone in Singapore. His eight-millimeter movies go back to the first ones ever made, and they include some with actors and actresses who were to go on and become very famous. He seemed especially interested in his animal films; pigs, chickens, donkeys, horses — he had them all.”
Brenda MacKillop, a Playboy Bunny at the Playboy Club in Los Angeles, testified that illegal drug use, group sex, and homosexuality were common in the Playboy mansion and that she began to drink and use drugs to desensitize her mind to the seamy world in which she found herself.
Dorothy Stratten, one of the most famous Playmates, was murdered by her estranged husband, who was competing for her affections with Hugh Hefner.
This is the world that was celebrated by the media – until A&E decided belatedly to tell the truth.
Bill Maher of HBO, a member of the board of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), could sometimes be found “smoking pot and sipping pomegranate juice at the Playboy Mansion.” According to the Washington Post, Bill Cosby was reported to have “partied with Hugh Hefner and was a regular at the magazine mogul’s Playboy Mansion bacchanals,” a term which means “an occasion of wild and drunken revelry.” In other words, drunken orgies.
The other dirty secret is that Hefner was a staunch Democrat. He gave then-presidential candidate Barack Obama $2,300 in 2007, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records.
A review of FEC records shows financial contributions from the Hugh Hefner and his daughter Christie to such prominent Democrats as current and former Senators John Kerry (MA), Hillary Clinton (NY), Al Gore (TN), Barbara Boxer (CA), Dick Durbin (IL), Patty Murray (WA), Carl Levin (MI), Al Franken (MN), Charles Schumer (NY), Debbie Stabenow (MI), and Sheldon Whitehouse (RI).
Hefner’s “foundation” continues to host “First Amendment Awards,” to obscure how he made his money, for liberal thinkers and activists. CNN’s Jim Acosta, a critic of Trump’s womanizing, was at the 2019 event. Judges for the awards included Karen Tumulty, a columnist and former national political correspondent for The Washington Post who covers women’s issues.
What a fraud she is.
For Hefner, women — however you define the term — were created for the convenience of men. Abortion was a public good to keep women sexually available for men. But today, Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Harvard-educated Ketanji Brown Jackson, can’t define what a woman is. It shows Democratic Party claims about protecting women against violence is also a complete fraud.
