Responding to Joe Biden’s increasingly unhinged demands for totalitarian controls, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis vowed to stand in the feds’ way while protecting the citizens and children of Florida from the escalating madness out of Washington.
DeSantis, whose state has remained the most free amid the COVID hysteria, also slammed Biden for pretending to be concerned about the spread of the coronavirus while at the same time leaving the Southern border wide open–and even transporting infected illegal immigrants all across America.
The Florida governor boldly responded to Biden’s call for governors and other policymakers to “get out of the way” if they were unwilling to impose lockdowns, mask mandates, and other draconian measures on the public.
“If you are trying to restrict people and impose mandates; if you are trying to lock people down; I am standing in your way and standing for the rights of the people in Florida,” the governor said in a press conference that sent shockwaves across America.
Biden “rejects science” because he keeps denying that those who recover from COVID have long-lasting immunity, the Florida leader added.
Vaccines will always be optional, and Floridians are proud of their law banning vaccine “passports,” DeSantis said, mocking Biden and Democrats for claiming that voter ID is racist but showing medical papers to exist was not.
The governor also ridiculed as “insane” a senior Biden regime official’s call for parents to wear masks in their own homes around their children.
DeSantis vowed to protect Florida children and parental rights from the out-of-control Biden regime, too.
“If you are coming after the rights of parents in Florida, I’m standing in your way – and not letting you get away with it,” DeSantis said responding to demands that children be masked. “If you are trying to deny kids a proper in-person education, I’m standing in your way.”
Finally, he called on Biden to focus on doing his own job and secure the border.
“Why don’t you do your job, why don’t you secure the border, and until you do that – I don’t want to hear a blip about COVID from you,” DeSantis said.
All across America, governors, sheriffs, legislatures, mayors, and county governments are learning the importance of interposition and nullification, whereby they protect the rights of their constituents from rogue officials.
One big driver of this trend has been the rapid spread of the book “The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates” laying out the biblical theological foundations for righteous resistance to tyranny.
