Albania’s parliamentary elections, held May 11, 2025, were not free. Fraud, voter intimidation, and corruption in handling the diaspora vote are recorded and reported by various media sources, including the OSCE.
The manipulation of votes from the current socialist government marks Albania’s official return to communism. Communism still plagues Albania, as its descendants control every institution in the country, including the media. The European Union has been far too slow, too late, and ineffective in preventing Albania from becoming the Venezuela of Europe.
Albanians know it; it is time for the free world to know it and act!
While the votes are still being counted, a dark cloud of election manipulation and dishonesty is like a time bomb for Albania.
2025 is feeling like 1956 — both times, communists cemented their power and captured a nation.
1956 marked a strengthening of the communist regime in Albania. During the first 12 years of communism, thousands of people who dared to oppose the regime were killed. We all know what followed next — Albania suffered the most aggressive communist regime in Europe for an additional 34 years.
2025 marks another 12 years of communism. Widespread corruption, political links to drug cartels, and censorship plague the country under Prime Minister Edi Rama. The Soros-backed Socialist Party uses government jobs to control people, and the country faces depopulation as young people leave Albania to escape these oppressive forces.
The current government has changed legislative and election laws, and regardless of voting, the former communists most likely end up with a majority.
Save Albania! Prevent communism! Albanians deserve to be free!
