I am from Georgia and the sheriffs here will not fight for citizens constitutional rights. Covid proved that. Republican governor Kemp declared an emergency. All sheriffs come under his authority despite being elected by the citizens. They accepted kemps command or their authority was taken away from them. Our local sheriff defied any citizen not to go to church. So bottom line when things run amok the sheriffs back the government not the citizens constitutional rights.
