Pastors Rebuke Edmond Mayor for Embracing LGBT “Pride”

A coalition of local pastors rebuked Edmond, Oklahoma, Mayor Darrell Davis and the City Council for embracing LGBT “Pride” Month, a move the pastors described as “shocking” and “offensive.”

In a powerful letter, the pastors–including some nationally known Christian leaders such as Pastor Paul Blair and Pastor Dan Fisher–urged the mayor to rescind his controversial declaration immediately.

Among other concerns, they noted that God clearly expresses his disapproval of homosexual behaviors. The pastors also noted that the proper attitude to sin is repentance, not pride.

The letter is already making the rounds in Christian circles as pastors around the country get more involved in resisting the growing hostility toward God’s Word within governments across America.
