Families are fleeing the government “#education” system in droves as parents realize that it is failing even on basics like teaching reading, explained journalist and educator Alex Newman on NTD Evening News.
Pointing to blatant quackery, Newman argued that the growing reading crisis could be solved overnight by teaching phonics properly if there was understanding and the will to do it. The book Crimes of the Educators breaks it all down, he said.
Meanwhile, government-funded “School Choice” is taking center stage amid “School Choice Week.” Trump issued a number of orders on this front, and there are controversial policy changes going on nationwide that bring danger to educational freedom.
Plus, classical education is rising as parents seek viable alternatives, Alex explained, noting that his own children are enrolled in Classical Conversations, the nation’s largest homeschooling program.

Return education to the States. As promised. This was a 2016 Trump Campaign promise with Betsy DeVos as the Secy of Education. It never happened.
Bring back Civics class, Knowing your rights as a citizen is a good thing.
Teach kids to read, write in script so they can read the original Declaration of Indepence, allow them time for prayer. For parents, ensure your kids are doing school work over school breaks, especially during the summer. That made a huge difference for my boys.
Once DIE is gone, that will be half the battle.
