This important statute, codified in Section 242 of Title 18, makes it a federal felony to deprive or attempt to deprive a person of his or her rights “under color of law.” That means that judges, police officers, prosecutors, and other authority figures cannot violate a person’s rights by pretending that it is part of some phony legal proceeding. There may be RICO implications and other crimes perpetrated in all of this persecution, too.
