Existential Threats to America & Our Children Amid Small Victories

Despite some victories for free speech and the Constitution, America faces existential threats to the nation and children in the form of Communist China and dangerous indoctrination.

For this episode of Liberty Hour on American Media Periscope, Alex spends quite a bit of time on the transgenderization of children and the ongoing revolutionary chaos unleashed in France. The first guest, Center for Security Policy founder and former Assistant Secretary of Defense Frank Gaffney, discusses the war that Communist China is waging against the United States. Next up, Alex interviews teacher and former school board member Brenda Lebsack about the madness passing for education in California and beyond.

In the news, Alex covers:

1–A U.S. District Court judge is temporarily preventing White House officials from meeting with tech companies about social media censorship, arguing that such actions in the past were likely First Amendment violations.

The Tuesday injunction by Louisiana Judge Terry A. Doughty was in response to recent lawsuits from Louisiana and Missouri attorneys general. The suits allege that the White House coerced or “significantly encourage[d]” tech companies to suppress free speech during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Doughty is barring several federal officials and agencies, including some of Biden’s Cabinet members and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, from contacting social media companies in efforts to suppress speech. The injunction, which was obtained by Fox News, states that the government’s actions “likely violate the Free Speech Clause” and that the court “is not persuaded by Defendants’ arguments,” dealing a significant blow to the White House.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth,” Doughty wrote.

“If the allegations made by the plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in the United States’ history,” the injunction adds. “In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the Federal Government, and particularly the Defendants named here, are alleged to have blatantly ignored the First Amendment’s right to free speech.”

The injunction also claims that “the censorship alleged in this case almost exclusively targeted conservative speech,” but that the issues the case raises are “beyond party lines.”

“Viewpoint discrimination is an especially egregious form of content discrimination,” Doughty argued. “The government must abstain from regulating speech when the specific motivating ideology or the perspective of the speaker is the rationale for the restriction.”

Google, Meta, and Twitter were all named in the lawsuits.

The judge said: “The principal function of free speech under the United States’ system of government is to invite dispute; it may indeed best serve its high purpose when it induces a condition of unrest, creates dissatisfaction with conditions as they are, or even stirs people to anger… Freedom of speech and press is an indispensable condition of nearly every other form of freedom.”

Judge Doughty then shares a few thoughts from the Founding Fathers on this issue, starting with George Washington:

For if men are to be precluded from offering their sentiments on a matter, which may involve the most serious and alarming consequences, that can invite the consideration of mankind, reason is of no use to us; the freedom of speech may be taken away, and dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep, to the slaughter.

The judge then quotes Benjamin Franklin:

Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the free acts of speech.

There’s also this quotation from Thomas Jefferson:

Reason and free inquiry are the only effectual agents against error.

2–Michigan House passes a bill that could make using the wrong pronouns a felony, fineable up to $10,000. Under the new bill, “intimidating” an individual in regards to their gender identity can result in prison time or a $10,000 fine. State Rep. Angela Rigas, who has been a guest on this show, spoke of the bill. “The state of Michigan is now explicitly allowing the gender delusion issue to be used as a ‘protected class.’ This opens up numerous issues when it comes to the courts and the continued weaponization of the system against conservatives. We saw similar concerns when they wanted to pass blocks on ‘conversion’ therapy. It seems Dems want to be in the business of telling people how to think.”

3–With Pride Month in the rearview mirror, Americans are getting increasingly fed up. Southern Baptists, the biggest Protestant denomination in the US with 15+ million members, pass resolution on gender issues, reaffirming what the Bible teaches while condemning and opposing all “gender transitions,” etc. Call on legislatures to stop this.

4–But the Biden regime is doubling down. Biden’s Health and Human Services Secretary, Xavier Becerra, wants to withhold federal Medicare and Medicaid dollars from states where children cannot choose to have their genitals surgically mutilated.

5–The Biden administration’s attack on our military is getting increasingly unhinged. Here are some of the photos that have ended up being published—some by the DOD—of officers. Mocking?  Purging conservatives?  Begging adversaries to invade?

6–Somebody that this woke Biden DOD would have loved—a trans and BLM activist—just gunned down a bunch of people, including some children in Philadelphia. The gunman arrested for the Philadelphia mass shooting that left five dead is a BLM activist who wore women’s clothes. The rifle-wielding suspect who donned a bulletproof vest before allegedly shooting dead five men and injuring two children in Philadelphia has been identified as a Black Lives Matter supporter who shared gun-toting memes on social media. Kimbrady Carriker, 40, was nabbed shortly after the bloodshed in the city’s Kingsessing neighborhood Monday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, citing sources.

7–America’s largest teachers union is also doubling down on this agenda; the National Education Association just published a list of 11 books as “great summer reads.” Among those are “White Fragility” and “Gender Queer”. That’s right, the NEA endorses racist anti-white screeds and a book with graphic oral sex images as great summer reading.

8–They claim to hate book burning as conservatives try to protect children from porn and other filth. But the anti-Christian mobs of foreigners invited into France and Europe by progressive forces just torched the Alcazar Library in Marseille, the largest library in France, containing an archive of one million historically significant documents and other priceless writings.

9–Not just historical treasures and knowledge. Even apartment buildings in France are on fire.

10–Covering more footage of France on fire.

11–To deal with the problem, French leader Macron announced mass deportations of all foreign subversives and a crackdown on all revolutionaries who violated rights to life or property. Just kidding! He announced a ban on social media so nobody could see or record the horror in an attempt to regain control of the narrative. They also arrested a soccer coach and his son for allegedly uttering “racist” and “Islamophobic” remarks a year ago. The coach denied the charges.

12–Louis Alphonse de Bourbon, descendant of the last reigning monarch of France, King Louis XVI said:

“The destructive violence unleashed against our legacy and our history are part of the revolutionary and totalitarian process which resulted in the deaths of Louis XVI (the French sovereign who provided extraordinary assistance to the US) and tens of millions of other people. What this process is intended to achieve is to erase the past so that a “new man” may emerge. Humanity is not merely the sum of its biological components: it is also the recipient of what has been accomplished by previous generations and of our travels on a spiritual journey. We need our saints and heroes so that they may inspire us to lead authentically human existences. It cannot be in vain that the Fourth Commandment in the Decalogue asks us to honor our parents, respect what we have received from our forefathers and love our nation. This is why, in grateful prayer, I wish to include all of those who within families schools institutions of higher learning and elsewhere in our society work so hard to transmit the Western culture and civilization which takes their roots in our Greco-Roman and Christian heritage. Only irresponsible barbarians can have as an objective the rejection of this invaluable treasure, which is so critical to the betterment of our humanity.”

13–They want the same thing for America, which is why the border is wide open as ChiCom special operators, Islamic jihadists, etc. flow across the border. I just spoke with former ICE chief Tom Homan, and he said this is the top national security threat.

14–One of the organizers and agitators behind the violent uprising in France, Rokhaya Diallo, was trained by the U.S. State Department. In 2010, the U.S. State Department invited French politicians and activists to a leadership program to help them strengthen the voice and representation of ethnic groups that have been excluded from government. Rokhaya Diallo attended, which many of her critics still use as evidence that she is a trained proselytizer of American social-justice propaganda.
