Young Woman At The Stable And Her Secret

Before she introduced the children to her Secret, Michelina told them about her personal brokeness and healing through Jesus Christ. Then she gave each of the girls that came to her this day a journal. She asked them to write down a word they felt described them that perhaps was so negative they never told anyone. She then introduced them to her horse named Secret there at her Mini Creek Farm in Lascassas, Tennessee.

The girls were told they could share their secret with her wonderful horse. She instructed the girls to grab some paint, and paint the word they felt described them the best on the horse. Michelina, knowing these children came from broken homes, foster care, and you name it, felt confident of what words she might find painted on the horse and sure enough she was right. Stupid – Ugly – Useless – Fat – Unloved – Alone.

Whoever said sticks and bones will break my bones but words will never hurt me had it totally wrong. All the heartbreak, tears, and cries for love painted on the horse that day is a picture never to be forgotten. Then Michelina told the girls those words DON’T describe you. The girls were then instructed to go and get a bucket of water and a sponge.

Soon Secret was Sparkling WHITE again after enjoying the cool cleansing water sponge bath on a hot summer day! Michelina told they girls this is the way Jesus sees them with all the negative words erased when they accept Jesus as their Savior. His love for them was so great He shed His blood on the cross for their sins washing them whiter than snow, refreshing and renewing them with His love. She told the girls to erase the word they had written in the journal she gave them and write a new word that described them through their new identity in Christ the way He sees them with total assurance Jesus loves them and sees them this way which is all that is important.

As in the words of the hymn of old – “I Long To Be Perfectly Whole”:

Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
I want Thee forever to live in my soul,
Break down every idol, cast out every foe;
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow,
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

What a BEAUTIFUL way to reach these children for Christ the Lord has put on Michelinas’s heart. Obviously a person doesn’t need a Divinity degree to reach others for Christ. When the Lord gave Michelina this idea she went forth with it reaching hundreds of boys and girls with the Love of Christ. We give thanks for this young woman, and her horse Secret, who if asked would readily tell you, if she could, that she loves all the attention, as she helps Michelina by being so patient in helping with this godly illustration that these kids will never forget.

This young woman and her Mini Creek Farm is doing a wonderful work reaching out to children, adults, invalids, and people that are hurting from all kinds of infliction’s and life’s challenges, with her horses, dogs, rabbits and more, as she goes forth with the Lord’s love and guidance.
